Name Change

The Pettit Project has changed its name to Love You To Death.

Yup, the Pettit Project, will now be called Love You To Death! There are a number of reasons, but the easy answer is that we were tired of people pronouncing and spelling our name wrong all the time. Also nobody ever understood what we were saying when we told them our name. People that knew us already were one thing, but trying to expand and grow to new fans was another. People can be so silly! But its okay, because we’re really happy about Love You To Death. Its badass and cute and fits us well.

So what does that mean for the band? Well we still have the same members and same songs. Our first album “cheeROCKracy” will stay a Pettit Project release and available as such. But we are re-releasing (and largly re-recording and remixing) or second album “6 Week Summer Vacation in Hell” under the new band name, as we were never really happy with the performance, and felt the songs weren’t done justice. So that will be re-released along with our online EP, which will be exclusively on iTunes, with the addition of a new song called “What I Want” and a new version of “99 Lives”!

Also, our new album “Super Awesome Best Party” will be coming out this spring as planned! We’re still super excited about that release.

This name change will leave us with a whole bunch of Pettit merch, which we’re going to sell off for cheap, as well as through in autograph deals. Stay tuned for that!

Its a scary thing, and a big undertaking to change a band name, so we’d love if you could help spread the word. We’ve got a really big year coming up, and we are SO appreciative of your support. Pettit fans were the best fans in the world, and we hope for your continued support as Love You To Death fans!

Its all just another step to bringing you more and more music for years to come.

Love,
Scotty
Love You To Death
and the former Pettit Project

    Hey, Pettits… I mean “love-you-to-deaths”
I got used to your previous name, but the new one is also good. It’s not the name witch is important. It’s music. And your music is really cool.

    Love You to Death,

That’s some good name change there, and I’ve seen plenty of name changes in my day. Now I really have to get in gear and buy that Pettit merch I’ve been thinking about, so I can prove that I knew you when. Also, more songs about transformers please. That’s where the money’s at.

    Keep rocking above-par.
